Meeting Minutes
14 May, 2013
AB Chair, John Shipman called the meeting to order at 6:21 p.m., 14 May 2013.
AB members in attendance were:  Chair John Shipman, David Cruise, Jim O’Coin, Joe Lotuff, Terry Hart, George Handy and Jim Comer.
  • Article 18.  AB approved BOS decision to pass over Article 18 and Princeton voters approved at 9:30 p.m.
  • Article 21.  AB approved Article 21 and Princeton voters approved at 9:17 p.m.
  • AB approved reserve fund transfer to the Veterans Benefits Expense Account ($250).
  • Article 3 – Public Safety Budget.  After procedural review by Harry Pape, Town Moderator, the AB recommendation for the public safety budget $807,409.00 was voted unanimously by the Princeton voters at 8:58 p.m.  AB members Jim O’Coin and Terry Hart led the discussion for AB.
  • Cemeteries:  After discussion by Lou Trostel, the salaries budget for FY 2014 ($26,406) was approved unanimously at 7:43 p.m.
  • Debt and Interest:  After discussion led by Jeff Yaglou, debt and interest for police cruisers ($25,185) was voted unanimously at 7:45 p.m.
  • Miscellaneous:  After a question by Tom Daly regarding the retirement budget for FY 2014 ($222,414), it was voted unanimously at 7:48 p.m.
  • Article 28 was removed from the warrant by the BOS at 9:53 P.M. A generous Princeton resident has made an anonymous donation to purchase new hand guns and holsters for the Princeton PD.
  • All other Articles for the Town of Princeton FY 2014 Warrant were voted unanimously
  • Town Moderator, Harry Pape, made a motion to adjourn the 14 May 2013 Town of Princeton Town Meeting at 9:59 p.m.  Motion was seconded.  No discussion and the motion was voted unanimously.
  • The AB would like to thank the voters/citizens of Princeton for exercising their rights in the purest form of democracy by showing up in mass for the Annual Princeton Town Meeting 14 May 2013.  AB members would also like to thank John Lebeaux Town Administrator, members of the BOS, Town Attorney, Town Accountant, as well as the administrative staff for the hours spent in preparation for the Annual FY 2014 Town Meeting Warrant.  We especially want to thank Town Moderator, Harry Pape, for the exceptional job he did leading us through the town warrant voting process.  
  • AB Board Chair John Shipman made a motion to adjourn the AB meeting at 10:00 p.m. 14 May 2013.  The motion was seconded and all AB members present voted to adjourn.
